Does it work with a barcode scanner?
Yes. GetMenyu works with standard USB barcode scanners (and keyboard entry). Barcodes are tenant-scoped, and case/box packs let a carton and a single unit share an item.
Can I sell weighed items like produce and meat?
Yes. Items can be sold by weight in kilograms or grams with correct per-weight pricing — designed for groceries and supermarkets.
Does it track inventory and expiry?
Yes. Track stock levels, receive purchase orders with landed cost, transfer between branches, and manage lots with first-expired-first-out (FEFO) handling.
Will the checkout work if the internet goes down?

Can I keep the register hardware I already have?
Yes, and you are never obliged to buy hardware from us. GetMenyu runs in the browser on your existing computer or till and speaks to standard USB barcode scanners, ESC/POS receipt printers, and cash drawers. We can supply equipment if you want it — it is an option, not a requirement.
